Firetrace Training

firetraceA representative from Firetrace educated Team Members on how their product works. Firetrace is designed to rapidly and reliably detect and suppress fires. It consists of a polymer tubing that is used within an enclosed area surrounding, or even on, a potential fire hazard. When the temperature in an area reaches 248˚F, or a flame touches the tubing, the tube bursts and releases the extinguishing medium.

The advantages of Firetrace are that it does not require any external power supply to operate, so no wiring is required and it is operational even during a power outage. Also, since there are virtually no moving parts, it is reliable. It is also simple to install and requires only minimal maintenance work.

Common applications include:

  • Engine compartments
  • Fuel Cells
  • Fume hoods
  • Generators
  • Electrical Cabinets
  • Cutting, Milling and Grinding machines
