Sprinkler Recall Information
As you may be aware, due to a defective O-Ring some sprinkler heads manufactured by the Central Sprinkler Company and their affiliates, GEM Sprinkler and Star Sprinkler have been made the subject of a voluntary recall. As a service to our customers, we have included some information regarding this recall*.

Identification Process
To take advantage of the recall, a customer must be able to identify their sprinkler heads properly. With 35 million sprinkler heads being recalled, involving 3 major manufacturers, companies are turning to Eagle Fire for help.

With 65 different styles and models of sprinkler heads, Eagle Fire can assist you in their identification and the completion of detailed paperwork to facilitate authorization to participate in the voluntary replacement program.

Fire Protection Management
Database Services

Eagle Fire presently maintains an extensive database on all of our existing customers. This database includes specific information about your sprinkler and fire alarm systems that we utilize in performing inspections, functional testing and maintenance of these systems. Some of the information is as follows:

  • Location of property to be inspected with directions
  • Manufacturer, make, model, size and type of sprinkler system valves
  • Manufacturer, make, model of your fire alarm system
  • Inspection routines and schedules
  • Individual record of inspections, service calls (routine, emergency and phone support)
  • Electronic technician database containing specific details about your system which are needed to perform inspections and/or repairs
  • 5 year maintenance records
  • 4 year battery replacement dates
  • Date of last sensitivity test of smoke detectors

and much more…….! We currently do not have the manufacturer, make, model or type of sprinkler head installed in your building or facility in this database. It is important to note that this information has been obtained from the manufacturers web site and is as accurate as possible. The CPSC has referred to this program as a voluntary "recall" (see CPSC press release above), and the Central Sprinkler Company and its affiliates call the program a "voluntary replacement" program (see Letter from Central Sprinkler above).
